Enhancing global collaboration - EBN at International Conference on Business Incubation in Seattle

Between 26th and 28th of March, EBN joined other entrepreneurial ecosystem leaders at InBiA’s 31st International Conference on Business Incubation (#ICBI31) in Seattle, WA.

The aim of the conference was to gather global leaders in the entrepreneurial scene, and enhance sharing of the industry trends, sharing best practices, and fostering international collaboration and networking.

Organised in 4 keynote presentations and over 40 interactive workshops, the aim of this year’s conference was to investigate how some of the best entrepreneurial centres in the world adapt to the ever changing economy.

As one of the conferences main goals was to create business opportunities within a global context, this was an excellent opportunity for EBN to present 3 new H2020 projects that we are partnering in. They focus on the creation of 3 international centres connecting European research, innovation and business organisations to their counterparts in Brazil, China and USA.  Robert Sanders, Head of international projects at EBN, presented the main services behind these three centres - NearUS, Network for European Research and Innovation acceleration in the US, CEBRABIC, Centre for Europe-Brazil Business and Innovation Cooperation, and ERICENA, European Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence in China.

InBiA is EBN’s key partner in establishing the NearUs centre which will also have two physical “landing hubs” in strategic locations in the U.S - Silicon Valley/San Francisco and Boston.
