The launch of the Startup Europe comes to Universities (SEC2U) event week took place this monday at EBN.
The SEC2U is an initiative to showcase the commitment of European universities to create a strong culture of entrepreneurship and innovation that is spreading in the university community.
The event had the participation of Isidro Laso, Head of Sector Startup Europe, DG Connect, presenting the SEC2U initiative and how EBN Members can get involved and participate in the activities of this week long celebration.

Emilio Corchado, from the University of Salamanca (Spain) and Ray Walshe, from the Dublin City University (Ireland), joined the event via Skype to showcase the events organised by these two universities during the SEC2U week running from the 17th to the 21st October.
Finally, Bogdan Ceobanu from the Startup Europe unit at DG Connect presented the upcoming EU funding calls in the subject of startups and entrepreneurship. These calls are expected to open for applications next December.
