Tara is an EU Projects Manager working with Dublin Business Innovation Centre (Dublin BIC), a public private support organisation that grows successful entrepreneurs through access to mentoring, investment preparation and soft supports. She is the senior project manager for several EU Funded projects for Dublin BIC from the Horizon 2020 and FP7 initiatives, owning tasks related primarily to cross border venturing, investment preparation and internationalisation for start-up and SMEs.
She is the co-ordinator of Dublin BIC’s Client Assistance Programme, an acceleration and growth programme which develops high potential start-ups to access finance, prepare for investment and grow internationally. Tara works directly with SMEs, managing their consultancy engagement throughout the programme and the monitoring their progress after completion. The programme has strong linkages with the Halo Business Angel Network, a private investment initiative.
Through her work with the EBN Innovation Network Tara, under Dublin BIC’s Chair position, manages the operations of the Finance SIG, a special interest group of 25+ business support organisations across Europe that work together to develop and share best practices surrounding the preparation, funding and scaling of innovative companies.
Tara is the project and operations manager for Dublin BIC's annual Silicon Stroll/FutureScope event, being part of the core team since initiation in 2014. The initiative, which has doubled in size year on year, promotes open innovation and fosters the relationship between corporates and startups through it’s “Current Trends & Future Insights” sessions. It features a high calibre speaker line-up from Google, Facebook, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, TCD, Accenture and PayPal.
Tara holds a 1st class honours degree in Business and project management from Dublin Business School and a Higher Level Diploma in International Business.
