Susana Lourenço has a Degree in Economics by the University of Coimbra (Economics’ Faculty) (2011), and a Master in Management by the same institution (2009). Since 2011, works as Innovation Manager and Quality Advisor at Instituto Pedro Nunes.
At IPN-VCI she works in the areas of innovation, support the creation of spin-off and startups, intellectual property, applications to European and National funds, and project management. Some of the most relevant projects she was/is involved in are:
- SOUL-FI: a technology accelerator funded by the European Commission to attract innovative ideas based on FI-WARE and to provide start-up funding and support for the most promising ones.
- GAPI 2.0 and GAPI 3: two projects with some of the major Portuguese universities that aim to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within student and young researchers and consequently the creation of tech companies.
- FP7.pt: a national funded project to foster the participation of Portuguese SMEs in the 7th Framework Programme.
- Ineo Weekend 2011 to 2013 and Ineo Start 2014: an accelerator programme where entrepreneurs work in their ideas and projects, which in the end of the event are pitched to the most important Portuguese Business Angels and VCs.
At the Quality Department she works in the development and implementation of the Quality Management System at IPN, namely the Management Research, Development and Innovation System (NP 4457:2007) and the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories (NP EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005).
