Ana María Méndez has a degree on Business Administration by the University of Oviedo, Certification in Management of European Projects by PMI and Master in Local Development. Project Manager and Business Advisor with 18 years of experience always linked to European Projects.
After being Head of one Centre for Entrepreneurial Initiatives and technical staff in the European Initiative Urban II, she joins in 2002 to CEEI Asturias team where she has got high specialization supporting innovative business projects and worked as Expert in Business Support Services for the Europeam Commission.
Since 2008, she has been working in national and European Projects linked to creative sector in order to boost digital&creative industries as well as game sector in Asturias. She has written proposals, maganaged and worked in projects focused on this sector such as Creative Growth (Interreg IVC), BooGames (Interreg IVC), Asturias 4ICC (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports), Big Bang Explosion de Ideas (DGPyme). Currently is working in JamToday Project (CIP), ACE Creative (Horizon 2020) and is the coordinator of the Acceleration Program for games sector Let's Game Asturias.
She is also the financial manager of several programs in which CEEI Asturias takes part, having experience in access to finance EU Projects such as Difass (Interreg IVC) which is also focused on creative sector.
