EBN will take part, as partner in the REConfimr project, in the Second edition of the European Industry Day which will take place end of February in Brussels.
This event could be of particular interest for EBN members as it will update stakeholders on the Commission's strategic approach to industrial policy and actions to further develop industrial competitiveness in Europe. It will also serve as a forum where stakeholders contributing to European industrial competitiveness can showcase their activities, learn from each other, discuss cross-cutting issues and develop joint visions for the future.
Numerous interested parties from a variety of industrial sectors, finance, research and innovation, public government and administration will join this event which will be divided into 3 parts:
- On 23 February we will organise a high-level conference with the participation of high-level speakers and key-experts
- On 22 February stakeholders from any sector of industry, or the research and innovation community are invited to submit their proposals for organising up to 15 workshops in Brussels. The call for expressions of interest, as well as the template for the proposals, is now available. Interested parties should submit their proposals via email to EU-INDUSTRY-DAY@ec.europa.eu by midday on 10 December 2017 (Brussels time).
- Organisations, companies and public authorities across Europe will also be able to submit proposals to organise local, regional or national events under the 'European Industry Week' brand. The call for expressions of interest, as well as the template for the proposals, is now available. Interested parties should submit their proposals via email to EU-INDUSTRY-DAY@ec.europa.eu by midday on 08 January 2018 (Brussels time).
European Industry Day 2018 builds on the constructive dialogue that was initiated during the first Industry Day in on 28 February 2017. This successful event presented how industrial competitiveness has been mainstreamed into key EU initiatives and launched the debate on a future-oriented EU agenda on economic modernisation.
