EBN Member North East BIC supports many innovative entrepreneurs – the Mussel Club, EBN Entrepreneur of the Month in November 2017, is one of the many hosted at their premises; recently, two of them, Space I.D. and Glass Frog, have joint their creative forces to develop emerging technologies within the interior and architectural field.
Both based at North East BIC premises, the two companies have the chance to work together closely, merging cutting-edge technology with enhanced customer experience.
The companies’ successful collaboration illustrates the added value of using support services offered by an EU|BIC such as North East BIC. Besides offering facilities, mentoring and business support services, an EU|BIC can offer co-working and networking platform enabling their entrepreneurs to collaborate and take advantage of synergies and innovation that lie at the heart of every EU|BIC.

Space I.D.’s interior designers and architects collaborate with digital marketing agency Glass Frog to provide their clients with an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience coupled with interactive, photo-realistic 3D computer- generated walk through their interior design proposals. This is an innovative solution moving forward from the current industry standard of ‘static’ computer-generated impressions.
The two companies have already collaborated with great success, and will continue exploring additional synergies.
Space I.D. director Phill Young explains:
“Our industry is constantly evolving with VR and Augmented Reality (AR), so the client experience is ever on the increase in terms of quality and accessibility. Our ongoing work together will ensure we utilise every available opportunity and explore this area of technology in detail to push our clients experience as far as possible.”
Whereas Jim McRoy of Glass Frog added:
“VR is something we have been involved in for some time now and I’m delighted to be working with Space I.D. to help them realise their potential with advanced VR technology."
