EU|BIC Poznan Science and Technology Park (PSTP) supports startups in the region to go global. One the latest great successes is Apollogic:
PSTP's tenant's Apollogic, a company specialised in IT consultancy and SAP software implementation, and working in the field of Big Data, IoT and business software development, has won the first place in the innovation contest InnovMatch Challenge, one of the largest programming competitions in the region of Central and Eastern Europe for innovators.
InnovMatch aims to enable innovative companies, startups, developers, entrepreneurs and students from around Central and Eastern Europe to tackle specific business challenges, and by using SAP Cloud Platform, helps them unlock new business value for customers. The project has been running for two years, with more than 60 applications presented and later built into real business. InnovMatch 2017 was supported by SAP.io, Techstars and Startup Focus.
The competition had the formula Open Innovation, which means that the participants pointed to solutions to corporate challenges from various industries, mainly in the field of using the potential of solutions such as Big Data, predictive analytics, the Internet of Things or machine teaching. The prize in the competition was 15,000 euro.
Representatives of Apollogic presented the future of surgery, or technology that shows real-time and even three-dimensional information about patients. The project of PSTP's tenant allows surgeons to analyse and visualise patient data using VR glasses.
