Spanish entrepreneurs visit EBN for an international training journey

Thursday 9th of February, a group of 10 Spanish entrepreneurs coming from the city of Castellon met at EBN’s premises for a presentation on EBN’s internationalisation activities.

This meeting was organized in the framework of the MOVE UP Project aiming at supporting entrepreneurs and young companies to implement and develop their business ideas and led by the CEEI Castellon . The last phase of the programme included a 3-day visit in Brussels of the most important organizations of the European Union’s headquarters.  The group was led by Ana Belén Arzo Cabrera, Head of Unit for the Economic Development within the Diputación de Castellón (local intermediate authority) and Nicolas Reynès, Coordinator of the European Association of Local Intermediate Authorities for territorial cooperation.

The meeting was articulated around three main presentations.  Margaret Mulligan , EBN project Manager at EBN stressed   the importance of internationalisation for SMEs drawing on the experiences of the EBN Soft-Landing Club and the International Hub and the ACE Acceleration programmeDavid Tee, Head of Membership Services provided the audience with detailed and practical information on smart take off and soft-landing services within EU|BICs of the network. 

Raffaele Buompane explained why Intellectual Property Rights are important for a company going global and gave the example of China and South Asia respective IPR SME Helpdesks that offer free training on how to manage IPR and was followed by a Question-Answer session by Nathalie Marchand, EU|BIC Officer.
