How are French competitive clusters performing?

On 22 April 2015 the National Commission for the evaluation of Innovation policies will organize in Paris a Working seminar on competitive clusters.
The objective is to reinforce the evaluation system as a new deal for innovation.  This action is one of the key measures taken by the French government to highlight good practices and possibly transfer them to France.
Among the working plan for 2014-2015, one of the priorities is the competitive clusters.  One meeting in February 2015 already helped in making a first diagnostic.
This working seminar aims at summarizing the available evaluation works in France and abroad in order to draw lessons for France. The elements considered in this perspective are retrospective and will be presented by specialised experts in the analysis and evaluation of these public policies.
The afternoon will be devoted to a prospective qualitative debate around actors involved in the design and implementation of these policies at national and regional level.
EBN CEO, Philippe Vanrie, has been invited to the round table on the outlooks of the competitive clusters policies as innovation and/or territorial policies.  The session will be moderated by Jean Pisany-Ferry, Commissioner-General of France Stratégie*.
