NearUS, Network for European Research and Innovation Acceleration in the US, has offically kicked-off with the partner meeting taking place between 8-10 May in Brussels.
Launched in April 2017, NearUS has received seed funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 Programme to co-finance its activities until September 2020. During this period, NearUS will be implemented by a consortium of 6 European and 3 US partners, supported by a network of 60 associate organisations.
NearUS aims to increase the positive impact of the established Transatlantic relationship on Europe’s innovation communities by filling the market gap for trusted research and innovation internationalisation support partners and services. It will do this by networking quality-certified innovation support players from the EBN and InBIA memberships and harnessing their individual strengths into a holistic innovation support ecosystem to respond more effectively to European innovators’ needs.
Activities will include training and pre-departure workshops in Europe and bootcamps and 3-States-in-5-Days tours in the US.
Calls for participation will be launched in Autumn/Winter 2017.
