FabLab Descartes - The Idea Factory of Tomorrow

On Thursday 8th October, the Incubateur Descartes s will officially inaugurate their Fablab located in Seine-et-Marne (France).  Public players have invested a total of 280 000 € in this platform for the design and prototyping of any product.

It might well be here that tomorrow’s everyday objects will be printed in 3D as indeed, the Descartes Fablab is equipped with all the necessary equipment to design in short time any prototype : a 3D printer, laser and vinyl cuttings, a vinyl cutting, a special CNC milling cutter as well as open source design softwares.

This manufacturing laboratory will be open to all, researchers, students and local entrepreneurs as well as do-it-your-selfers.

On the programme of this inauguration day, Gérard EUDE, Président of Descartes Incubator and Jean-Christophe de Tauzia , Director of the incubator,  will welcome participants and give the floor to practitioners of the fablab movement who will also give their insights on the current state of affairs of French Fablabs, the ambitions and the service offer of the Fablab Descartes.

Jean-Christophe de TAUZIA will give a presentation on the competencies of the Descartes Fablab and the synergies they developed with the Incubateur Descartes .
