PEPITE : Student pole for innovation, transfer and entrepreneurship.
Launched by the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and the Ministry for Productive Development, PEPITE aims at disseminating entrepreneurship and innovation culture towards young people in higher education and to help students and young graduates to go from word to deed. This new French policy for entrepreneurship is based on strong partnerships between Higher education institutes, territorial collectivities and the actors of business creation at the local and regional levels. The research tax credit is a key factor in the cooperation between the Ecole de Biologie Industrielle and industry and entrepreneurs.
For the last ten years now EBI has successfully developed an ambitious programme for the creation of companies. Students have the opportunity to develop and present their project within a period of 4 months by attending some specific classes but mainly by creating a real project dynamics. Students then present their project to a professional jury who assess them in hearings session.
The team of the Val d’Oise Technopole commented and assessed all these projects. Some of the students were asked at a second stage to join the pre-incubator or received a new status as student-entrepreneur.
