Sustainable Marketplace for the Adoption, Ramp-up and Transfer of Emerging Electronics Solutions

SmartEEs project kicked off 14 September 2017 in Grenoble (France), for a duration of three years, and with the aim of making disruptive innovation accessible for European innovative companies. The project will provide access to the state-of-the-art of European research, equipment and infrastructures in a process adapted to their internal organisation and capacities while at the same time, it will support them by reducing market risks and increasing investment readiness level.

EBN will be in charge of setting up and coordinating the SmartEEs Community (representatives of associations, clusters, investors, ETP, EU networks, suppliers and end-users).

EBN, together with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), leader of the project and Centre for Process Innovation Limited (CPI) – UK, Nederlandse Organisatie Voor Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek (TNO) – NL, Teknologian tutkimuskeskus VTT Oy (VTT) – FI, Fundacio Eurecat (EUT) – ES, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft Zur Förderung Der Angewandten Forschung E.V. (Fraunhofer) – DE, Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum (IMEC) – BE, Blumorpho SAS (BLM) – FR, and Amires SRO (AMI) – CZ partners in the SmartEEs consortium, will help the European industry to create a competitive advantage within the global economy by providing access to disruptive Organic & Large Area Electronics (OLAE) technologies and innovation support in a pragmatic, operative and efficient pan-European manner.

Stay tuned to the progress of the project. Some preliminary information:

  • The opening of the SmartEES call for Innovative Companies (start-up, SME, mid-cap) by the end of the year 2017;
  • The available amount of 2.7 M€ worth services available to finance a total of 20 Application Experiments with the successfully evaluated Innovative Companies. Those Application Experiments will be conducted to explore the technology transfer into business, organisation of cooperation, access to finance, services to be provided and act as showcases to raise awareness and activate potential users.
