EBN and Strategic Design Scenarios are glad to invite you to a Responsible Nanotech Breakfast that will take place at our premises on the 1st of March from 8:15 to 10:00.
This event is a great opportunity to meet Belgian stakeholders of the nanotechnology sector around the question of Responsible Research and Innovation. Around a coffee (there will be tea as well, no worry) we will discuss the needs and benefits of responsible innovation, the changes of practices it calls for and the vision for the future of research it is supporting.
The Responsible Nanotech Breakfast is an initiative of COMPASS project, which aims to help European SMEs in the health, cyber security and nanotechnology sectors to manage their research, development and innovation activities in a responsible and inclusive manner. We are seeking to develop our project together with industry players! The Responsible Nanotech Breakfast is the starting point for the Nanotech RI Lab.
What’s the Nanotech RI Lab?
Beyond the theoretical framework of responsible research and innovation (usually shortened under the RRI acronym), we would like to look at how is this applicable to the nanotech sector ? Is it relevant for this sector ? What does it mean to do responsible nanotech research and innovation ? Aren’t we already doing nanotechnology research in a responsible way ? And in concrete terms, what would that imply and change ?
The Nanotech RI Lab, will be exactly about this. A practical roadmap outlining a vision, setting concrete goals, identifying gaps, defining actions and milestones. A community of peers coached by the COMPASS team.
During the Responsible Nanotech Breakfast we would like to kick off the discussion with you and the other actors related to the nanotechnology sector. If you like our approach, if you are interested in understanding more about RI for SMEs and willing to make it happen in your company or organization, join the RI Nanotech Lab.
We would be happy to count you in and we look forward to meet you !
Don’t forget to register on the event page - seats & croissants are limited (max 30 participants).
