Pentahelix | #GRF2050 - How to Finance Climate and Energy Plans

From 09:30 to 12:00
Location: Online,

The Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy – Europe, together with PentaHelix & C-Track 50 (both H2020 projects) join forces to organise a unique event series targeted at public authorities, local/regional policymakers, and their stakeholders.

The three EU Projects work to support cities and regions in developing and implementing sustainable energy and climate action plansGET READY FOR 2050 will deliver actionable insight into how to best achieve this shared goal.

In this third session, we will discuss available financing sources and funding schemes for local/regional stakeholders’ sustainable energy projects. We will focus on:

  • Public procurement of innovation (PPI)
  • Energy Performance Contracts (EPC)
  • ELENA Facility (European Local Energy Assistance)
  • Energy Communities and Crowd-funding

Different examples will be presented from across Europe and from different sectors (public and private buildings, transport, etc.). Participants will then have the opportunity to ask their questions to the projects’ implementers and invited experts, including representatives from the European Commission and European Investment Bank.

Presentations will be followed by thematic and collaborative breakout sessions offering a unique opportunity for participants to connect, brainstorm, and directly ask questions to experts and speakers. It will also be the occasion to work on opportunities and challenges related to the three topics at hand.
