Misr El Kheir Foundation is an Egyptian sustainable development organisation created in 2007 with the mandate of developing Egyptian individuals and communities. Their vision is the comprehensive human development through the implementation of projects under its five core programs in order to disminish the levels of illness, poverty, hunger, illiteracy and unenmployment.

Misr El Kheir Foundation’s main initiative, GESR, is formed of a cluster of activities and partners joined together by the vision of empowering the people at the bottom of the economic pyramid (BOP) and solving Egypt's societal challenges through social innovation and entrepreneurship. It is a  part of social innovation cluster project funded by EU.  GESR operates through its 3 main components: the Incubator, the Innovation Lab and the Impact Investing Network. Its main activities revolve around providing  incubation services to startups , as well as organising  social innovation challenges with the aim to promote social innovation and to support innovators and entrepreneurs through various competitions.
