Arising from needs expressed by the local political and economic milieus, DEL was created in 2002 to provide the Agglomération de Longueuil with sufficient economic clout to assist in self-development.
DEL is a not-for-profit organization offering services to all cities in the Agglomération de Longueuil, including Boucherville, Brossard, Longueuil (Old-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park), Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Saint-Lambert.
DEL’s mission is threefold:
- Help make companies more aware, provide them with information and offer them support and assistance for improvement and development projects so they can become more competitive.
- Collaborate with partners and contribute to the economic vitality of Longueuil by implementing anchor projects.
- In the role of facilitator, participate in the development of real estate and tourism on the territory of the Agglomération de Longueuil.
Within the framework of its mandate, ensure that the Agglomération de Longueuil has the most dynamic economic growth within the Greater Montreal Region.
