Jean-Christophe has been working with innovative startups since the beginning of his career: supporting entrepreneurs launch their ventures and finance them, setting up dedicated support services.
He is Managing director for Descartes Développement & Innovation (DDI), dedicated to promoting the Descartes sustainable city cluster and an offer to inovative SMEs, and operating Fablab and Incubator Descartes.
Incubateur Descartes based in the Paris Region, is coaching 20 teams from the business idea, to technology development, business model design and test to commercial success. JC and his team are involved with young talented scientists, senior researchers and professors, serial entrepreneurs and a network of corporations, financing institutions, research bodies to trigger Greencity / Cleantech, ICT and health related new businesses.
Prior to creating and managing an incubator, Jean-Christophe was a project director in an engineering consultancy based in Luxembourg. He worked for international institutions such as the European Space Agency Headquarters and the European Commission monitoring SME programmes and creating venture capital intermediation services. After studying engineering and business, he launched the export department in a small company and then moved to innovation financing for the now called “Banque Publique d’Investissement”.
Jean-Christophe enjoys bringing his experience in project management, partnership development and providing feedback from assessing hundreds of projects to entrepreneurs.
Jean-Christophe is a professor in engineeeing schools, a business coach with startups and a journey coach for the Climate KIC.
He has a passion for multicultural issues and for travelling.
