She received her doctorate from the University of Sussex (UK) in 1978 and has lectured at the University of Simón Bolivar (Venezuela). She has eleven years’ experience internationally as researcher and manager in academic settings. In 1989 she moved to Barcelona. She gained an MBA from La Salle (1993) and a DG from IESE. Before joining Barcelona Media in 2006, she worked for BASF, and for the AIA Group, a group of companies specializing in Artificial Intelligence, holding several responsibilities on a technical, commercial, and managerial level.
She joined Barcelona Media in 2006 as responsible for the Business Development Department of Barcelona Media. Since its foundation in 2007 she has been responsible also for the activities of Barcelona Media Cluster, with a special focus on promoting the participation of companies in joint innovation collaborative projects.
She has been involved in several European projects on technology transfer and on Culture and Creative Industries cluster management (Trans2Tech, 2006; ECCL, 2011; EuroTransmedia, 2013).
