He has extensive experience in Local Authority in Greece. For almost a decade he was working as a Project Coordinator at Patras Municipal Enterprise for Planning and Development – ADEP SA (2004 – 2010) and then he was the Mayor’s Consultant on Development Issues at Patras Municipality (2011-2013).

He is an active member of various EU-Wide Networks such as "Culture Action Europe" and "LiKE - European Cities and Regions for Culture". George is a Lecturer at the Greek “National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government – E.K.D.D.A.” specialized on EU-related subjects. He was also an External Lecturer at Higher Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece, (former T.E.I. of Mesolonghi) teaching EU Relations & Policies.

He graduated the Department of International and European Studies at Panteion University (Athens, Greece), and holds a postgraduate degree in the topic of European Union and Developing Countries. He also holds a second Master Degree in Cultural Organizations Management.
