Alexander Mityashin, Ph.D. is a Program Manager in the Large-Area Electronics department at imec since 2016. In this role, he helps engineering and business teams to bring flexible electronics technologies into real-life products and applications. Examples are thin-film IoT tags and sensors for smart packaging and wearable health patches. Recently, Alexander has been focusing on transferring new technologies from R&D pilot lines to volume manufacturing facilities. He is a COO of the European consortium CAPID, and an Evaluation Panel member of SMARTEES.
Alexander Mityashin was awarded a MSc (honors) degree from the Moscow State Technical University in 2008 and a PhD (summa cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven in 2013. He is an author and a speaker on market and technology of thin-film flexible electronics.
