Rubén Carrandi is a Senior Project Leader at EBN responsible for delivering EU and non-EU projects. His focus is on internationalization projects and on building relationships with foundations, banks and non-EU institutions.
He is the EBN Coordinator of the ‘Project to promote the development of new technology-based companies in Costa Rica’, whose aim is to strengthen the capabilities of Costa Rican incubators to improve their support to technology-based entrepreneurs, as well as to provide training and support to high-potential entrepreneurs within the country, including the possibility of conducting immersion stages in EBN incubators in Europe as well as in the USA.
With more than 13 years of experience in the international, EU and R&D fields, Rubén previously worked as head of internationalization and European programmes in Spanish research organizations and entrepreneurs associations, for the Latin American Investment Division Centre of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, and for the Spanish Embassy in Buenos Aires (Argentina), among others.
Rubén completed a Master’s Degree in International Business Management at the Centre for Economic and Commercial Studies of the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Trade and Tourism (2007), and holds a Graduate degree in Economy (2003) and in Business Management and Administration (2013) from the University of Oviedo.
