Harsha has dual Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, USA in Industrial Engineering followed by European Union Masters in Renewable Energy coordinated by the EUREC Agency- Brussels, Belgium. He has international work experience with good techno-financial analytical skills, strong technology transfer skills which include commercialization and indigenization to suit local requirements as well as experience in business development and project management, with an ability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects on time. He has worked on a wide variety of technologies not limited to renewable energies, decentralized water and water treatment, waste management, Large Scale Energy Storage, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Hybridization systems for diesel buses (dual fuel), MedTech, Lifesciences, etc.
He has also worked on conceptualizing and setting up virtual platforms for technology collaborations and physical technology centers in India where international entities can showcase their technologies and strengths, giving them a sustained presence in local markets. He is currently involved in developing a unique international cluster of clusters for the advancement of biomedical innovation.
He has over 4 years of experience working with the European Business and Technology Center (EBTC), an EU funded program that offers complete end-to-end solutions to clean-technology companies who want to enter and ensure sustainability in the Indian market, developing business and managing technologies. He was the project coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) consortium in India. EEN is a network of 600 business support organizations from 54 countries that provide support for SME’s to internationalize. He has experience in working with and understanding international markets.
Prior to which he worked for 2 years in the United States with MNC’s such as Caterpillar, Inc and Putzmeister America, Inc as an industrial engineer working on optimizing spends and lead times where, he also had the opportunity to be a part of the Toyota Supplier Support Center (TPS) implementation team, focusing on elimination of bottlenecks, streamlining operations and improving the utilization of employees. He has successfully completed multiple projects focused on process improvement, lead-time reduction, Lean Manufacturing, project management, etc. He has experience in liaising effectively with both the public and private sector in India to identify technology gaps, he has lead an initiative to develop a sustainable transport cluster in the state of Karnataka with a consortium compromising of experts from the EU, Indian Institutes of Science (IISc) Bangalore, local and regional companies and the Government of Karnataka.
