The EU|BIC quality is issued by the European Business and innovation Centre Network (EBN).
Teknopark Izmir has been a cornerstone of economic growth and prosperity in Turkey, particularly within the Izmir region, since its establishment in 2002. Hosting nearly 220 domestic and international R&D companies and employing over 1,800 R&D and support personnel, Teknopark Izmir has facilitated exports totalling approximately $200 million and has secured more than 25 patents. To further enhance its impact, Teknopark Izmir organizes a variety of activities inside and outside its campus, including training events, competitions, networking sessions, and open innovation forums. These initiatives attract a total of 1831 participants annually, fostering a vibrant community of innovators and entrepreneurs. Notably, Accelerate Izmir Global Growth Focused Acceleration Program stands out as a flagship program. It is specially designed for companies that are ready to grow on a national and international scale in the Information and Communication Technologies, Green and Marine Technologies. It is aimed to accelerate the growth process of startups and scaleups with the services offered within the program built on three pillars: internationalization, investment and pitching.
Moreover, the Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy comes to the forefront as a awareness raising program, offering intensive training twice a year to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and stimulate the development of viable business ideas.
