EU|BIC Essentials Training: Deep Dive People - Business Mentoring

Entrepreneurship mentoring is a key dimension EU|BICs and other Entrepreneurial Support Organisations (ESOs) integrate into their programme and service portfolio. It plays a crucial role in unleashing the entrepreneurial potential of their clients through dedicated personal and professional advice and support.
During this training, we will understand the role of entrepreneurship mentors and advisors and investigate different mentorship programmes and tools developed/implemented by EU|BICs. We will also investigate how to create and manage inter-regional mentoring schemes and their impact on local, regional and national innovation ecosystems.
In this session, we will delve into:
Training | INSPIRE. GUIDE. TEACH. The role of Mentors, Advisors and Coaches and the art of integrating them in incubation and acceleration programmes.
Trainer: Carlos César Yammal, Innovos Group
- Mentors’ identikit: Who are mentors? How do they differentiate from a coach or a business advisor? Where can they be found? How do they align to the broader incubator strategy?
- How to build a mentoring programme? Defining the scope, structure, recruitment, financial model, and impact assessment of a successful mentorship programme.
Best practices & Peer Learning | MENTORING SCHEMES & TOOLS from the EU|BIC Community
Expert: Eduardo Diaz, EU|BIC madrid+d Foundation
Do you want to identify the knowledge and skills needed in effective Quality Mentoring for Entrepreneurs? Eduardo Diaz will guide us through the accreditation scheme madrid+d Foundation implements since 2006 to effectively boost the work of Mentor of Entrepreneurs or Manager of Entrepreneurship Support Programmes, implementing a proven work methodology and acquiring new skills to facilitate and manage more effective Mentoring Relationships.
- From PLATINN Programme to Ynovate Platform: the evolution of the Czech innovation experts’ network
Experts: Lenka Gábrišová , EU|BIC JIC and Philipp Roden, EU|BIC Lipo.ink
They will take us through the steps that brought the Czech innovation ecosystem to connect and collaborate under the Ynovate Platform. Bringing entrepreneurs together with experts and mediating consultations or mentoring is an essential service provided by innovation agencies: under Ynovate, Czech innovation agencies share contacts providing a lot wider range of know-how to ensure clients get the very support they need. Lenka will focus on how the different regional agencies share, connect and manage a wide network of mentors and experts, while Philipp will tell the specific experience of Lipo.ink and the way the mentoring dimension was a cornerstone of the development of the overall EU|BIC strategy and programmes.
