VVA | The Future of skills in the Cultural and Creative Industries
The event will take place on Wednesday, the 19th of May, between 10:00 and 13.00
This event is organized by EU|BIC Associate VVA under the FLIP project, which aims to define and test policies and actions for sustaining and developing cultural and creative industries (CCIs), and to generate cross-sectoral benefits and spill-overs in the different areas and sectors with which creative and cultural industries interface.
This workshop aims to develop models for identifying and addressing skills mismatches in three CCI sectors: design and creative services sector, visual arts and crafts, performance and celebration.
During the workshop you will have the opportunity to:
- Define current skills needs and gaps in the CCS and explore how these can be addressed. Understand the how the Pact for Skills support stakeholder driven solutions
- Discuss national policy developments, understand the impact of the pandemic on skills in the CCS sector and identify cross-country lessons
- Discuss the main findings of the study with regard to skills mismatches and the ensuing recommendations
