ANEL - Asociacion de Empresas de Economia Social de Navarra
ANEL is the business association representing social economy enterprises in Navarra, bringing together more than 200 member organisations — including worker cooperatives and labour societies — that collectively employ over 9,000 people across the region.
Its mission is to represent these enterprises and promote the social economy business model, fostering its growth through company creation, business development, and social innovation. Its guiding principles are the primacy of people and social purpose over capital, democratic and participative governance, cooperation between social economy enterprises, and a commitment to equity and solidarity.
ANEL's ultimate aim is to contribute to the social transformation of Navarra — acting locally and globally — through a business model that generates opportunities, reduces inequalities, and strengthens democratic culture and social cohesion. In 2023, ANEL generated a measured social value of €4,796,495, equivalent to 4.69 times its invested budget and 8.13 times the public funding it received. ANEL has also been recognised with the highest award from the Navarra Foundation for Excellence for its management under the EFQM 2020 model.
