Bela Krajina Business Incubator
The Bela krajina Development and Information Center is a public institution for the promotion of entrepreneurship, tourism, and culture in the Bela krajina sub-region.
The incubator supports early-stage entrepreneurs, SMEs, and youth by providing mentoring, consulting, business development training, and networking activities. It is part of Slovenia’s national SPOT system, offering free business support services and consultations (approx. 150–200 per year) and assisting with company registration, tax processes, funding calls, and business plans.
Key activities include:
- Mentoring & expert consulting: 15 mentoring sessions and 10 expert consultations annually, involving external specialists in finance, marketing, design, and law.
- Entrepreneurship events: Workshops on pitching, public speaking, networking, and innovation.
- GO4 Idea Entrepreneurship School: An annual program covering business models, branding, marketing, pricing, AI tools, and sales strategy.
- Project Office: Support for 100+ funding applications yearly, maintenance of a business premises database, and development of international cooperation projects.
- EDIH – Digital Innovation Hub: 15 activities promoting digital transformation (AI, cybersecurity, 3D modelling, podcasting), including high-profile events.
- Coworking & incubation facilities: Nine incubated companies and eight coworking members.
- Youth entrepreneurship: Startup weekends, hackathons, mentorship for POPRI competition teams, and the Summer Entrepreneurship School.
