The ITC is attached to the Canary Islands Government, being responsible for preparing and executing the Regional policies on Research,Technology and Innovation.
The mission of the ITC is “to lead Technological Innovation and Transfer in strategic sectors which favour competitiveness and Sustainable Development in the Islands and the surrounding geographic and cultural area, with Excellence in Management. BIC Canarias is lodging about 50 regional innovatives companies,and enhacing entrepreurship on the islands.It is the local node of the Enterprise Europe Network. The companies of BIC Canarias are currently focus in the following sectors: Renewable Energies, Water and Environment, health care, ITC, Audiovisual and creativity Industry. BIC Canarias is currently working with ANCES (Spanish BIC Association) and other European BIC, and is isinterested in networking with other in different kind of projects.
