The European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI) of Albacete is a provincial organisation with European projection, constituted as a non-profit Foundation created thanks to the cooperation between the public and private sectors, with a broad consensus among those responsible for regional and local development.

The objectives of the Fundación CEEI Albacete are to promote the creation of new companies, especially those of an innovative or diversifying nature, to encourage new lines of activity in existing companies and to support entrepreneurs in the process of starting up their project.

Under the initiative of the Directorate General for Regional Policy (DGXVI) of the European Union Commission in 1984, the CEEI began to be created throughout Europe as an instrument for industrial and business development.

The Fundación CEEI Albacete is part of the EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network) which brings together more than 170 CEEI/BICs distributed throughout Europe and has its own distinctive mark which accredits that it continues to operate. Its membership of the EBN allows for greater dissemination of new technologies and greater internationalisation of companies and projects. It is also a member of the National Association of Spanish BICs (ANCES), which brings together 34 BICs from all over Spain.
