The European Business and Innovation Centre of Elche (CEEI Elche) is a non-profit association that started its activity in 1990, under the model of the Business & Innovation Centres (BIC) promoted by the European Union in 1984, through the Directorate General for Regional Policy of the European Communities, in order to promote the creation of Innovation Centres as the most effective tool to disseminate entrepreneurial culture and innovation. The Association covers the territory of the Valencian Community.

This European initiative was developed by the Generalitat Valenciana through the Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE). The creation of 4 CEEIs in the towns of Alcoy, Castellón, Elche and Valencia ensures coverage throughout the territory and configures a network at regional level.

The CEEI Elche is constituted with the participation of regional and local government agencies and various economic, financial, business and social entities. Its activity pursues a twofold objective. On the one hand, to support and promote the creation, consolidation and growth of mainly innovative companies. On the other hand, to advise existing companies and help them to improve their competitiveness through innovation and diversification. All of this with the aim of generating wealth and employment in the Valencian business fabric.
