FUNDECYT-PCTEX
The Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDECYT) and the Science and Technology Park of Extremadura Foundation (PCTEx) merged on 1 January 2013 to create a new Foundation that brings together the objectives and goals of both entities, as well as their human capital, activities and knowledge, becoming a key interface body in the region to structure the science, technology, research and innovation system of this territory.
The result of the merger between FUNDECYT and the Foundation of the Science and Technology Park of Extremadura (PCTEX) has led to the birth of a new Foundation, FUNDECYT-PCTEx, based on the European and international experience that FUNDECYT has gathered since 1995, and on the knowledge of the business reality of the Extremadura science, technology and innovation system by the PCTEx, which was launched in 2009.
Our mission is to create the necessary space and services to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, science and technology for the socio-economic development of Extremadura, with a vision focused on the consolidation of our offer of services to support innovation, entrepreneurship and cooperation for the promotion of intelligent, sustainable and inclusive development of the region.
