Descartes Développement & Innovation (DDI) is the Technopole, the information, promotion, networking and innovation project engineering structure of the Cité Descartes Sustainable City Centre of Excellence (eastern Paris), a fast-growing innovation area. DDI also operates a fablab and an incubator.
Sustainable City refers to an urban space at the crossroads of the economic, social and environmental pillars necessary for sustainable development. It simultaneously meets citizens' expectations in terms of comfort, services and resilience, as well as environmental challenges and the future needs of generations to come.
Within the Paris-Vallée de la Marne conurbation, DDI facilitates meetings between academic, institutional and business partners within a cutting-edge scientific and research ecosystem in the field of Sustainable Cities.
