Fondazione LINKS was born from a deal between the San Paolo Bank Foundation and the Polytechnic of Turin. Its objective is applied research and technological transfer to achieve, through the widespread and pervasive use of digital technologies, innovation and the digital transformation of society. Its purpose is to promote, develop, and conduct projects of scientific research and innovation, with a particular focus on polytechnic multidisciplinary sciences and deep tech.

The Foundation oversees technical-scientific disciplines that encompass engineering and architecture, such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Advanced Computing and Computational Modelling, Antennas and Computational Electromagnetics, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology, Cybersecurity, Cyber-Physical and Autonomous Systems, Internet of Things, Optical and Wireless Networks, Satellite Navigation and Location Based Services, Transport Planning and Modelling, Photonics and Satellite Tracking.

Fondazione LINKS operates within applied research and innovation projects with medium and big companies, innovative SMEs and startups, as well as public and non-profit institutions. LINKS holds a central position within the local and Italian innovation ecosystem, acting as a key player in technology transfer and impact activities.
