Foundation of the Hellenic World

The purpose of the Foundation of the Hellenic World is to keep alive the historical memory and the Greek tradition, to make conscious the universal dimension of Hellenism and to promote its contribution to the evolution of civilization, so that the past may become a reference point for the shaping of the present and the future and so that modern thinking may be inspired again by the Greek spirit.

In order to achieve this aim, the Foundation is engaged in the dissemination of Greek culture and Greek history, with particular emphasis on Hellenism in the Greeks. The realization of this purpose is achieved by:

- The organization of a Historical and Cultural Centre on the theme of Greeks in the Greeks, the presentation of the exhibits of which is based on the use of modern technology.

- The organization of conferences, seminars and screenings and the production of printed publications and material in audio, visual or other reproductions of modern technology, with scientific or educational content related to the Foundation's objectives.

- The management of historical and cultural information through research, the writing and editing of texts, the collection of documentary material, the operation of the Photo Library, the Library, the Genealogy Department, etc.

- The organisation of research projects and working groups in this field.

- The organization and support of courses, educational programmes and postgraduate studies on Hellenism in the Greeks and foreigners.

- The institution, announcement and granting of financial aid for the promotion of research and studies related to the aims of the Foundation.
