Nonagon - Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia de S.Miguel
Nonagon is the first Science and Technology Park in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. It is located in the city of Lagoa, on the island of São Miguel.
Its aim is to become a structuring organisation for technological dynamism and the training of qualified human capital in the field of information and communications systems, monitoring and observation of land, space and the sea.
It also aims to be a catalysing agent for synergies in the technology transfer processes of the Azorean innovation ecosystem.
This project is an initiative of the Regional Government of the Azores in partnership with the Lagoa City Council with the aim of promoting links between the public, private and university sectors, leading to the creation of a new development paradigm
