Teknopark Izmir
Established in 2002 within the campus of Izmir Institute of Technology, Teknopark Izmir started its activities in 2004. Teknopark Izmir is one of the leading actors in the field of innovation and technology development in Turkey thanks to the R&D companies, incubation entrepreneurs, and ongoing projects currently located in the technopark.
Teknopark Izmir makes a valuable contribution to Turkey's economy with a total of over 140 million dollars of exports and a turnover of over 2 billion TL, thanks to more than 2,600 R&D, software and design projects carried out since its establishment, over 187 domestic and foreign R&D companies, and over 1300 R&D and support personnel.
Teknopark Izmir, which launched its Innovation Center in 2016, the first supervised project supported by Turkey's development agency, provides an incubation environment for all innovative ideas with the ClassBoom and continues to bring together the qualified technological knowledge produced through the Atmosfer Technology Transfer Office with the industry.
Teknopark Izmir also launched Accelerate Izmir, the international accelerator program, with the Izmir Commercialization Network and Innovation Center (Izmir NIC) project, which is supported by the co-financing of the European Union and the Republic of Turkey. Within the scope of the project, activities are carried out to commercialize and internationalize innovative products of SMEs and Startups.
