Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP)

This project started on Jan 01, 2025 to end on Jun 30, 2027.
The Africa-Europe Innovation Partnership (AEIP) connects stakeholders across the entire innovation value chain — including researchers, innovators, incubators, start-ups, SMEs, investors, civil society, and public policymakers — to build networks, share knowledge, and foster strategic connections.

Funded by the EU, AEIP promotes collaboration among stakeholders and institutions engaged in complementary programmes. It establishes partnerships to implement activities focused on capacity building, knowledge production, investment readiness, and access to finance, tailored to the needs of target groups such as researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and civil society organisations.

The project aims to maximise societal, economic, and scientific impact, positioning itself as a “network of networks” that supports the AU-EU innovation agenda while reinforcing existing initiatives.

Within the project, EBN coordinates the capacity building and training activities, and in particular deliveries a dedicated training programme for incubators and accelerators based on the EU|BIC framework.
