Algerian SSOs Capacity Development
Ongoing project
This project started on May 08, 2025 to end on Apr 30, 2026.
This project, implemented under the Green and Digital Economic Development (DGA) programme by GIZ, aims to strengthen the capacities of Startup Support Organisations (SSOs) in Algeria by aligning their services with international best practices and the evolving needs of startup entrepreneurs.
EBN plays a central role by applying its benchmarking methodology and quality standards for innovation support organisations to assess the performance, capabilities and needs of Algerian SSOs. Through the development of a comprehensive study—combining performance indicators, stakeholder surveys and ecosystem analysis—EBN identifies priority areas for capacity building, which are integrated into the DGA programme.
In parallel, the project supports key ecosystem orchestrators, including the Algerian Ministry for the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises (MKESM), in strengthening their ability to assess and monitor SSOs, contributing to improved data availability and the long-term strategy for Algeria’s startup ecosystem.
