Strengthen the Entrepreneurship in Comoros

The project’s main objective was to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Comoros by implementing actions whose results will be:
i) a more structured, cooperative, and sustainable ecosystem – including the national Global Entrepreneurship Network integration in the island.
ii) enhanced capacity of BSOs to coaching and supporting SMEs development.
In order to do this, the project implemented the following activities:
1. Validation of pathway and collaboration mechanisms: Based on the pathway proposed after the assessment carried out during a previous field mission, this activity validated the proposed pathway with local stakeholders. This was done through participatory workshops carried out on the ground with experts running a SWOT analysis.
2. Definition of support measures: A potential set of activities was proposed for the enhancement of Comorian BSOs’ capacities, adjusted and tailored to the specific stakeholders and their needs, which included, among others, Lead-generation activities with the purpose of responding effectively to the need of raising awareness of Comorian BSOs activities; Establishment of pre-incubation services to Comorian BSO to respond effectively to the needs of the local entrepreneurs; Incubation services will be set in place with the objective of responding effectively to the needs of the local entrepreneurs; Incubation services will be set in place with the objective of responding effectively to the needs of the local entrepreneurs.
3. Capacity Building to Strengthen Comorian Entrepreneurship Ecosystem: Provision of dedicated online trainings to Comorian BSOs combined with exchanges of best practices. The delivery of trainings included synergies with BIC Africa, a project coordinated by EBN in Africa.
