Organized by EU|BIC associate bwcon, the CyberOne Hightech Award is the largest business plan competition of the high-tech industries for the southwest of Germany and the neighbouring economic areas.

The award ceremony will take place centrally in Stuttgart as part of the hybrid Hightech Summit on 19 October 2021 and will honour innovative business ideas from start-ups in Baden-Württemberg. Applications from upcoming companies from all technology sectors are being accepted until 23:59 (CET) on 28 May 2021.

Application: Instructions on how to apply successfully are available to interested parties at www.cyberone.de/teilnahme/online-bewerbung.de

The award is a catalyst for innovative business ideas and enables the participating founding teams to further develop their business plans models in the categories:
  • Life Science and Health Care
  • Industrial Technologies
  • ICT/Media and Creative Industries
The award paves the way to potential investors and business partners and thus strengthens the innovation location in the southwest.

The participating start-ups receive individual feedback for their submitted business plans and a professional evaluation by a top-class jury. In addition to three days of intensive coaching as part of the Entrepreneurship School, the finalist teams are prepared by experienced advisors for the final pitch in front of the expert jury. The winners will receive prizes of around 100,000 euros. In addition to the prize money for the best teams, all participants in the competition benefit from the large bwcon network with numerous new contacts, especially to relevant companies and investors.
'We have been living and working under the Corona pandemic for a year now,' sums up bwcon board member Jürgen Siegloch. 'Last year, like so many other companies, we were faced with a major challenge and unknown situation. For example, our preparations for the CyberOne Hightech Award 2020 were cancelled at short notice. However, we accepted this challenge in bwcon style and organised a hybrid event throughout Baden-Württemberg in a very short time. We grew from this event and looking back, I can proudly say that bwcon emerged as a pioneer and role model in challenging times. This year, the award ceremony will also be hybrid but at the same time historic, as we return to our roots and host the event centrally in Stuttgart in 2021.
Accompanying the current round of applications, bwcon is organising a virtual entrepreneurship roadshow and thus connecting founders with the players in the economy. It informs about the submission to CyberOne and provides practical knowledge for founders. Speakers will give talks on key topics such as financing, marketing and sales, and successful start-ups will share their experiences.
