THE ARCH, European event to accelerate the green transition

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Startups and SMEs, are you ready to embark on a great adventure that seeks to promote your company and solutions supporting the green and sustainable transformation?

THE ARCH offers to organise and publicise your journey as one of Europe’s 100 most innovative solutions and its founders on the world’s first large Sailing Cargo Vessel ‘the Canopée’.  

The adventure begins in June 2022 with the sourcing of solutions divided into 5 major themes:

Food & Health – Housing & Urban solutions  –  Mobility –  Energy –  Industries.

Your solution must be innovative, economically viable, durable and replicable, and have a solid technological foundation that has been scientifically validated. It should have already reached the prototype or demonstrator stage.

At the end of 2022, a qualified and independent European jury will select 100 innovative solutions for this novel tour of Europe.

Why participate?

For the startups who make it to the final pool of 100 solutions, it will be a rewarding experience! The winning solutions and their founders, from all over Europe, will enjoy workshops, seminars and visibility across Europe and will be able to join the large final exhibition and event in Saint Nazaire, France.

About the team

The call for solutions is promoted by EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network) and IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation), two international networks that support excellence in innovation. In Europe, these two networks have 200 members (incubators, technology parks, science parks, etc.) spread over 27 countries.

The call for solutions is implemented in partnership with:

• local authorities: Nantes Métropole and the city of Saint-Nazaire;
• ADEME (Environment and Energy Management Agency);
• EU|BIC Atlanpole (…)

The launch of THE ARCH and the 2022 announcement of the call for solutions took place during ChangeNOW – the world’s largest event for the planet – in Paris on 19 May 2022.

THE ARCH is labelled as an event part of the French Presidency of the European Union. France exercises the presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 January to 30 June 2022 and intends to involve civil society in the organization of events contributing to the success of this European meeting.
