REINFORCING 7th Open Call on Responsible Security
Our REINFORCING project is pleased to announce the launch of its 7th Open Call, dedicated to the theme of Responsible Security. This call aims to support organisations and institutions across Europe in exploring and implementing innovative ways of conducting research and innovation (R&I) that address security-related challenges while upholding responsibility, openness, and alignment with societal values.
The call primarily targets applicants with demonstrated experience in Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI); however, exceptionally for this call, applications from newcomers to ORRI will also be considered. In the event of an ex aequo ranking, proposals submitted by applicants with prior ORRI experience will be given priority.
The deadline for proposal submission is 4 March 2026 at 17:00 (Brussels time). An online information session will take place on 19 January 2026 at 14:00 CET, offering prospective applicants the opportunity to learn more about the call’s scope, requirements, and application process.
Up to six consortia will be funded under this call, with grants of up to €20,000 per project. Selected projects will run for eight months, from 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2026. Consortia must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the call documentation, and only proposals fully focused on Responsible Security practices will be considered.
An online information session will take place on 19 January 2026 at 14:00 CET, offering interested applicants an overview of the call’s scope, eligibility requirements, and application process, as well as the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical guidance on preparing a strong proposal.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the REINFORCING website’s grants section to access the Guide for Applicants, detailed FAQs, the Applicant Checklist, and the application portal. For further information or support during the application process, interested parties may contact the project team at info@reinforcing.eu.
