On May 21st – 23rd the North American National Association of Business Incubators (NBIA) organised its annual Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana.
More than 600 delegates of US incubators, members of the NBIA, and some foreign representatives attended this event which focused on the role of entrepreneurs on energising economies all over the world.
Important speakers animated the Congress both in the morning and afternoon plenary meetings and, in separate workshops, focusing on specific shared themes like Soft Landing, Women entrepreneurship, incubator strategies, accelerator programmes, incubator in regional innovation systems.
EBN was invited and took active part in the NBIA Congress bringing in its precious experience and providing political and industrial overviews on innovation and incubation in the EU. EBN contribution was particularly appreciated during the Wednesday plenary session on Trends and Changes in Incubation.
This event was particularly important for continuing building the EBN and NBIA relationship, in view of increasing the intercontinental level of cooperation and interchange among respective members.
EBN is happy to welcome NBIA Chair Karl LaPlan and past-Chair Marie Longserre which will be attending the 23rd EBN Congress representing NBIA. All EBN Congress participants are invited to exchange their personal opinions and experiences with our important guests from overseas.
