Raghavendra (Raghu) has over 7 Years’ of experience in Technology Management and Consulting primarily in Energy and Environment sectors. He has been working as technology management consultant focusing on developing and managing business ties for SMEs in European Union and commercializing their technologies in India and supporting international SMEs with its India entry strategy and developing business model to sustain in India. He has been working as Technology Manager for a Germany based Fuel Cell company in India and involved in (i) developing strategy for indigenizing Fuel Cell technology to suit Indian conditions (ii) identifying areas where the technology can be piloted (iii) identifying business opportunities and customers in India. Over the last two years he has been coordinating efforts with various State Governments and departments in India to bring best EU management practices in the aforementioned sectors.
For over 3.5 years, Raghavendra worked with Ernst & Young LLP in its Advisory Services division. At EY, he has worked over 20 climate change mitigation projects and assisting the clients in accessing funding options from carbon markets. He has worked in several sectors including Renewable energy, Thermal power & utilities, Iron & Steel, Chemicals & Sugars, etc. and was involved in carrying out project financial analysis including viability and returns assessment for these projects. He has also worked as a key team member in energy and resource efficiency assessment of a large state owned thermal power plant and developing State Action Plan on Climate Change policy framework for a state government in India
Raghavendra has successfully completed his Post Graduation in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras and has a Professional Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies (solar energy and energy storage) from Stanford Centre for Professional Development, Stanford University. He is active on various MOOC platforms learning new topics focusing on Energy, Environment, Finance and Business.
