Simone Torrescasana is currently involved with international projects, such as the Land2Land softlanding platform, which is a support platform for the internationalization of innovative companies that want to locate in innovation habitats, such as technology parks and business incubators in Brazil or any other country. The platform is part of the Internationalization Project for Innovative Companies, an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators (Anprotec) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), which includes other initiatives such as matchmaking sessions, mentoring and training for innovative businesses. In the past days, Simone was involved in the ELAN PROGRAMME - European and Latin American Business Services and Innovation , which is a European Union (EU) initiative that seeks to increase and diversify the EU economic presence in Latin America, having the local support of ANPROTEC - the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators. She joined PUCRS Science and Technology Park - TECNOPUC's management team in October of 2011 to get involved in the internationalization program of the Park. Simone’s background includes vast experience in leadership and project management; she has held managerial positions at the University’s Distance Learning, Academic Events and Sports Center Facility departments. Simone holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul/PUCRS, and a Master’s degree in Business Law.
