EBN Welcomes the Commission’s Funding for Regional Innovation Valleys, with 55+ EU|BICs Present
EBN applauds the European Commission’s recent funding allocation of €116 million for the Regional Innovation Valleys (RIVs) initiative, aimed at enhancing competitiveness and fostering innovation across the EU. 151 regions were granted the RIV title, including over 45 RIVs with EU|BIC presence.

New circular economy knowledge hub set to guide European cities and regions.
EBN joins a new EU-funded project: K-CCRI – set to increase the impact of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI). The K-CCRI project, launched in January, aims to set up a knowledge hub to help cities and regions adopt the circular economy. It comes as part of the EU’s efforts to bring together research and innovation projects that share the same vision over climate change, pollution, soil consumption, and loss of biodiversity.

”This national boot camp, organised in collaboration with the BIC Ethiopia country project, focused on the theme of mentorship and mentoring startups, a key topic for business incubators in Ethiopia. The activities aim is to produce a collaborative and innovative “Guidebook on how to mentor startups” tailored to the local ecosystem, which will be shared with Business Incubators (Bis) in Ethiopia as a reference and living document.
